This is my top 10 (or so) favorite health & fitness resources. (I left out a few to keep this brief). If what you need isn't here, contact me, and I'd be happy to give a quick recommendation.

This is always a work in progress as I learn more. Check back as I update and expand this section.

(In alphabetical order by author’s name)

The Trail Guide To the Body by Andrew Biel

For learning anatomy. Some may care to learn a little bit more about what muscles are doing the work while they exercise.

Joint-Friendly Fitness by Bill DeSimone

You should never get hurt lifting weights. This book teaches you the best form and mechanics for lifting weights for health, fitness, and even performance.

The Great American Health Hoax by Raymond Francis

You are responsible for your health–not your parents, family, doctors, or anyone else.

David Getoff’s Naturopathic Website http://naturopath4you.com

Never Binge Again or Defeat Your Cravings by Dr. Glenn Livingston

Body By Science by Doug McGuff, MD and John Little

Body By Science: Question & Answer Book by Doug McGuff, MD and John Little

This is not a perfect book about proper resistance training, health, and fitness. That’s because no such book exists, but Body By Science is the closest thing to perfection available. You'll learn about how to get the most out of weight training safely, efficiently, and effectively.

The Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson

Nutrition Against Disease and The Wonderful World Within You by Dr. Roger J. Williams

Truly amazing books about health, nutrition, and disease written by a person who deserved far more attention and consideration by the scientific community.

The Paleo Solution by Robb Wolf

Other Places With Great Content

These aren't heath & fitness resources, but great content for life, personal development, business, and food for thought.

No More Mr. Nice Guy by Dr. Robert Glover

No More Mr. Nice Guy: The Hero's Journey (workbook) by Dr. Michael Pariser

Your Music and People and Hell Yeah or No by Derek Sivers

Check out his website, too. Several of the books are available there. One of the best sites online. Link: Sive.rs. His work and philosophies are also a big inspiration for this website and my own creative and professional efforts.

Rational Recovery by Jack Trimpey

Where's the infotainment?

Ah, you noticed! Yup, there's none on this list. I encourage you to dive deep, because a little bit of knowledge can do more harm than good.

But yes, as you learn, apply, apply, apply. Start small. Don't do anything that doesn't make sense to you. Build up. Play the long game. Time will be your eloquence.

Let me know what you think.

If there's something missing here, let me know. I'd love to help you connect with the right information for your situation.
