You Don't Need the Perfect Workout Program If Your Execution Is Great

Last modified 6 months, 2 weeks ago.

The science and research I’ve learned can seem overwhelming.

But I package the information mountains this way…

The best workout program, written by a PhD in exercise physiology, cannot help you without meaningful focus, concentration, sincere effort, and commitment.

Doing a great workout program in an average way, will get you below average results.

If you just have a decent workout program, written with a working knowledge of physiology and practical sense, but your execution is excellent (strong commitment, self-belief, motivation, and perseverance), then you will get great results.

If not, you’ll get about the best results you could get for yourself.

If anyone has the perfect workout program for themselves, it’s by accident, if it happened immediately, or by deep experience if they managed to forge such a program over time.

There’s no need to be overwhelmed or have analysis paralysis.

Being in the ballpark is good enough to get great results if you are resolute, focused, and attentive.

Postscript–A good start is to lift weights briefly, intensely, and infrequently with control (good form). Check out Body By Science by Dr. Doug McGuff and John Little or Joint-Friendly Fitness by Bill DeSimone.
